Clinton Lingren — Chairman & CEO
Mr. Lingren is one of the founders of SABIA and was also a founder of what is now Thermo Gamma-Metrics in 1980 and of Aurora Technologies (name changed to Digirad Corporation) in 1991. Prior to founding Gamma-Metrics, he was Manager of the Nuclear Instrumentation and Control Department of General Atomics where he directed the development of the world’s first all-digital radiation-monitoring system for nuclear power plants. At Gamma-Metrics he directed development of nuclear instrumentation and of the world’s first commercial PGNAA bulk material analyzer. He later focused on nuclear reactor instrumentation with total profit/loss responsibility and introduced that product line into Europe and Asia. At Digirad he held the post of Senior Vice President, directed development of the world’s first all-solid-state gamma camera for nuclear medicine, and handled intellectual-property and regulatory issues. He holds sixteen issued patents and has others pending.
Hal Grodzins — Chief Development Officer
Mr. Hal Grodzins is Chief Development Officer and a Director of Sabia, Inc. A longtime instrumentation business executive, Mr. Grodzins has decades of experience in all aspects of business management, including executive management, M&A, strategic planning, technology development and global business development.
Prior to joining Sabia, Mr. Grodzins was Cofounder, Chairman, President and CEO of Viken Detection Corporation, a pioneer in homeland security xray imaging and analytical devices; former Chairman, President and CEO of Niton Corp., the company that invented handheld x-ray instrumentation; former Managing Director of Niton Europe GmbH and Niton Asia Ltd.; former Executive Consultant to the CEO of the Rigaku Group of Companies; Founder of Rigaku Analytical Devices, Inc.; and former Vice President of Research and Development of the instrumentation division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to joining the instrumentation industry, Mr. Grodzins worked as bond trader–broker at a boutique Wall Street firm, Stoever Glass & Co. Mr. Grodzins is a Director of the Cornerstones of Science Foundation; the former Chairman of the Fulcrum Foundation; and a former director of several other private companies and non-profit organizations. He is the inventor and co–inventor of patents in x-ray fluorescence and optical emission spectroscopy; winner of the 2003 R&D 100 Award as principal designer of Niton’s XLt Series XRF analyzers; and winner of national awards for sales achievement and product presentation. Mr. Grodzins resides in Arlington, Massachusetts, USA..
Ken Walker — Chief Financial Officer
Ken has over 30 years of experience as an accounting professional. He is a CPA and has worked as Controller for a large multi-state contractor specializing in home flooring sales and installation, as CFO of a multi-state general contractor and as Controller for a large public company. He is married with two grown children who live in the San Francisco area. His leisure time (when available) is mainly spent on a golf course.
Abhinandan Sheshadri — Chief Technology Officer
Abhi has always been a problem solver by nature. He received his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from PES college of Engineering in India and his Master’s in Computer Science from San Diego State University. Previously, Abhi owned a software services company in San Diego and Los Angeles, CA for over 2 years. He has over 9 years of rich industry experience working with various software and networking companies including Qualcomm, Nvinium games and Huawei India Pvt ltd. In his spare time, Abhi loves to play badminton, watch movies and landscape-paint.
Paul Iverson — Director Of Operations & ISO QMS Manager
Paul oversee’s global operations while utilizing diverse skill sets with an MBA. Paul wears many hats across departments while ensuring quality and attention to detail for all projects. He calls San Diego home while having roots in Wyoming & Washington. Outside of work Paul spends most of his time adventuring with his wife and surfing California’s world renowned beaches.
April Montera — Sales Director
April is globally experienced in market development and sales for process optimization in minerals, cement, coal, and fertilizer segments in mining. Her specialties are in strategic account management, sales process management and client relationship building. She has extensive experience with PGNAA product application in the mining industry since the early 1990’s. April is a San Diego native and graduate of San Diego State University. She enjoys spending her leisure time with family, cooking, writing, and deep-sea fishing.
Mohnish Charan – Customer Engineering Manager
Mohnish received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with honors. He has extensive knowledge of all technical aspects of PGNA analyzers. Mohnish and his team manage all aspects of technical customer support and management of SABIA analyzers. In his free time Mohnish enjoys photography, exploring different countries, cultures and reading.
Deepak Doomra – Head, SABIA India, Turkey, & MENA Region
Deepak joined SABIA in April 2013 and helped start SABIA’s first venture outside of USA by establishing SBMAPL (SABIA Bulk Material Analyzer Private Limited) in New Delhi, servicing India, the Middle East and North Africa. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering, and has extensive experience selling capital equipment in cement, steel, coal and mineral beneficiation since 1997.
